The Boston Cannons get second win in a row and pull even in standings with New York Lizards.

The Boston Cannons won their second game in a row. The victory comes over the New York Lizards 16-12 and cancels out an early season loss for Boston to New York. Suddenly, a team that was all but counted out is right back in the convorsation. Boston got off to a slow start for the second week in a row but once again they were able to settle things down. A great performance from both rookies and veterans this was probably Boston's best team effort.

Keys To The Game:

The Face-Off:

Greg Gurenlian has been playing like a man possesed this season. Chris Eck has been trying to get back to 100% after ending last season with a leg injury. Friday night these two clashed and Eck edged out a hard fought victory 17-30. That slight edge, those few extra possesions go a long way.

The Extra Man Opporutnity:

The Boston Cannons went 3-3 on their powerplay opporunities, the New York Lizards went 0-4. That tells you the story of this game right there. Matt Poskay capitalized on two huge man up goals and Kevin Buchanan put a third in the back of the net.

Boston's Rookies:

Boston Rookies stepped up huge in this game, Will Manny, Scott Ratliff and Cameron Flint combined for 8 points in this game. Will Manny seemed to take the next step in his progression, initiating from behind the cage at X and letting the offense run through him.
