The Denver Outlaws win yet another game this time topping the New York Lizards in New York.

Denver Outlaws come out on top of a hard fought 13-10 victory to stay undefended vs. the New York Lizards at Hofstra's James M. Shuart stadium.  New York still did not get that fourth win of the season that they have been longing for.  For most of tonight's game it did look like New York was going to get that win as well as playing spoiler and putting the first L in the loss column of Denver.

New York

The Lizards Jo-Jo Marasco finally had his coming out party with not only getting his first MLL goal but also his first MLL hat trick. Look for Jo-Jo to build on this game and get the confidence he needed all year leading into this week’s final game vs. Ohio.  Middie Kevin Unterstein who is known for his skills on the defensive end had his first multiple goal game and scored the first goal of the game putting the Lizards up 1-0.  Goalie Drew Adams was the Lizards MVP of the night he made a season high 21 saves. The fourth quarter really hurt New York on both sides of the ball they went cold on offense only scoring once and letting up four.  Not playing the full sixty minutes hurt them from winning this game.

Attackman Chris Bocklet had a big night for the Outlaws three goals and three assist.  Chris even assisted his older brother longstick middie Matt.  Denver has shown once again that they have the best midfield around and seem to get stronger as the game goes on.  The Midfield combined for twelve points on the night.  Goalie Jesse Schwartzman added fourteen saves on the night to help lead his team’s thirteenth win of the season.

Next week

The Lizards look to go down swinging and end the year on a high note with a win vs. the Ohio Machine at Hofstra's James M. Shuart stadium Saturday 7:30pm. The Denver Outlaws look to end the regular season undefeated when they travel Saturday  to the  Hamilton  Nationals  in a potential   MLL championship game 3:00pm at Ron Joyce Stadium.
