The Rochester Knighthawks look to keep their momentum as they take on the Toronto Rock.
The Rochester Knighthawks look to get their second straight win while the Toronto Rock look to get back at the Knighthawks for an early season loss. Both these teams are two of the top three in the Eastern conference so this is a big game and will help in playoff seeding’s down the line.
Players to watch:
Cody Jamieson– Cody is the leading scorer for the Knighthawks and is having a great season so far. He also plays with a lot of the Rock in the summer for the Six Nation Chiefs so they know what each other or going to do. He also had a great game the last time these teams played.
Johnny Powless- Johnny is a young star in this league but he did not get a score in last week’s game vs. the Bandits. Johnny will have to score and take some pressure off Cody to help get the Knighthawks get the win.
Garrett Billings- Garret is having a career year and is second in the NLL in points. The Rock would not be able to make a playoff push without him. He also makes highlight reel plays like his no look goal vs. the Wings this past weekend
Nick Rose- Nick is one of the better keepers in the league. He will have to stop Rochester’s big guns this weekend if the Rock want to win.
Keys to the game:
The last time both these teams met The Rock did not so up till the the second half. So for the Rock they will have to get their guys like Billings and Stephan Leblanc on the score board early and often. For The Knighthawks they just have to keep playing good ball on both ends of floor as well as keeping Dan Dawson healthy. Dan is the straw that stirs the pot and keeps the Knighthawks offense a float.
The Knighthawks go up to Toronto and take the Win from the Rock 11-10 Knighthawks.
